Pool Rules

Be Safe:

  • Guests swim entirely at their own risk. Owners and management are not responsible for accidents or injuries. Any injury occurring in the pool must be reported to Manor House Pool immediately.
  • Please shut the external door immediately after entering and do not open it during your swim session. And please do not try to adjust the french doors as otherwise we cannot maintain the correct air and pool temperature.
  • There must be a minimum of two and maximum of eight people (including children and any spectators) in any one session.
  • We recommend there should be one competent swimmer to every swimmer that requires assistance. Non swimmers must be properly supervised at all times by competent swimmers.
  • Children in any session must be closely supervised. Children under 6 years old need to have a responsible adult in the water with them and be kept within arms reach at all times.
  • The pool is deep and unsupervised so please ensure all those using the pool can swim confidently or wear appropriate swimming aids.
  • Guests must bring a mobile phone in case of emergency. Any injuries, incidents or contact with emergency services on site to be reported to the Manor House Pool.
  • We operate a strict one group in / one group out policy, so please wait outside the pool building until your allocated time slot.
  • At least one person in the booking party should be over 25 years of age.
  • Any damages caused to the facilities must be reported to Manor House Pool and will be chargeable.
  • You must not use our facilities if under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • No food or drink allowed other than plastic water bottles. NO GLASS.
  • Please do not smoke or vape inside the Manor House Pool.
  • Do not remove any of the covers from the electrical sockets in the pool area and do not use the sockets.

Health & Hygiene:

  • Guests should be in good health when using Manor House Pool and take extra care if having eaten in the hour before your swim session.
  • Any child who is not fully toilet trained must wear a good quality swim nappy, both in the pool and changing areas.
  • If you have a verruca please ensure you wear a verruca sock at all times.
  • Please tie back long hair or wear a swimming cap.
  • Please shower before entering the pool.
  • Please remove plasters before entering the pool, there is a bin in the changing room.
  • Please wrap sanitary items in a nappy sack or similar before placing them in the bin.

In The Pool:

  • No diving.
  • No horseplay.
  • No hard balls, but foam pool noodles, inflatables, floats and soft balls all welcome.
  • No running around the edge as the floor can get slippery.
  • Do not tamper with any of the pool outlets.

Finishing Your Session:

  • All sessions last one hour including changing time, please show consideration towards other guests by allowing enough time to shower and change and ensure the entire facility is left as you found it.
  • Swimmers must use the mops provided to dry up any excess water in the changing room and toilets.
  • Guests are responsible for leaving the pool, changing room and toilets in a clean and tidy state. If the Manor House Pool facility is left in a mess we do reserve the right to charge an additional fee for cleaning.

The Deal:

  • These rules must be read and understood as part of our agreement with you. They are for your safety and any guest in breach of any of these rules will be asked to leave and further sessions may be cancelled.
  • If guests fail to attend their private pool hire session without 24 hours prior notice no refund will be given.
  • If guests do not follow the pool rules when at the Manor House Pool no future bookings will be accepted.
